Spring Engagement [Beacon Hill Park Victoria Engagement Photography]

It felt like a bad day in the middle of winter on Saturday, so we decided to postpone our shoot for the following day—April 1. The weather was perfect, and we took advantage of the cherry blossoms and saturated skies. I don't think I have ever seen so many people out jogging, cycling, walking their dogs. Everyone seemed in need of an airing out after all this damp weather. Usually I spend about an hour and a half on my engagement shoots, but I was so happy to be out in the sun (and Erin and Drew are so relaxed and easygoing), we spent nearly three hours together—soaking up the beauty of Victoria in the spring.I love the textures and tones of the photos at Cattle point. And the light is so soft and full in the spring, that the reflection of the water at Beacon Hill Park came out saturated with color instead instead of washed out, as it often is in harsher summer light.Erin and Drew are getting married this weekend coming up, and were hoping for a photo for their guest book—so I got my act together and edited most of the shots in the two days following the shoot. So happy to spend some time with Erin and Drew before the big day. See you on Sunday!
