Emma's Henna Hen Party

On the day preceding Emma and Ravi's magnificent wedding, Emma's lifelong friend, Lauren, hosted a mehndi and tea party in the backyard pool pavilion.  It was a gathering of the gals in high Eastern and Western style.   Two henna (mehndi) artists worked throughout the afternoon painting the hands and/or feet of all who wished to be decorated in this Hindu wedding tradition. The wonderful cookies, cakes, flowers and Indian saris make for some very colour-filled and vibrant photos.  To see photos from the wedding day click here.
