Francois and Sarah (Cortes Island Wedding Photography)

These two had a classic Cortes wedding. And by classic I mean, uproarious, home-grown, ridiculous and fun.Francois grew up on Cortes and his family the Laberge's are long-time residents of this Island. Francois and Sarah currently reside in Boston, so it was a serious celebration that they were coming back to home-turf for the wedding day.We loved the Quebecois-Jewish fusion this wedding had going on! On the morning of the wedding day the Laberge boys were putting together the Chuppa for the wedding ceremony, and Sarah was laughing about it being industrial-strength — there's no fooling around when it comes to the Laberge men building something. This Chuppah looked like it could weather a few decades no problem. Even though it was built just for the afternoon's ceremony! This wedding has a lot of character, because Francois and Sarah have a lot of character. The wedding party was a blast. The day was hot and gorgeous. The details, the cake (baked in the morning by family), everything seemed so perfectly executed. We only had one wedding on Cortes this summer, and I'm glad it was Francois and Sarah.
