Rodrigo & Hilary [Long Beach Lodge Tofino Elopement]

You may be wondering why almost every photo in this series is of the bride and groom. Well, it's 'cos Hilary and Rodrigo eloped! Believe it or not, I, yes me, moi, was asked to be one of the witnesses. I have hard evidence that it's the truth, proven by the goofy photo of me with the huge grin on my face, as I sign the registrar. Caitlin, the events co ordinator for Long Beach Lodge, and myself were the only people in attendance. The setting was classic Tofino, replete with majestic rolling fog—and the occasional surfer in the background.I shot two Tofino weddings in three days. Lucky me! So, of course, I stayed for nearly a week. Vacation time! I managed to ride bikes on the beach, sunbathe, run into the water at Long Beach, (and quickly run out again), eat lots of pizza, think about taking a paddle board yoga class, shoot two weddings, and of course edit tonnes of wedding photos on my laptop—life is good, and Tofino is amazing.I think Rodrigo and Hilary chose the right town to get married. Now they have an excuse to come back every year for their anniversary :)
