Michaela and Jose [Craidelonna Sooke Wedding Photography]

Michaela & Jose were married at my favourite West Coast venue, Craidelonna, in Sooke. The wedding was ultra photogenic—tears, laughter, dogs, kids, poems, piñata's, eggs benny, west coast vista's. You name it, this wedding had an abundance of all the good stuff from the perspective of a photographer!

This was one big loving group. I was amazed, inspired and grateful to participate in such an outpouring of grace, beauty, and joy. And did I mention there were dogs? Oh, I do love dogs. Luckily, so do Michaela and Jose. They brought their sweet bulldog and pug all the way from California—didn't want them to miss out on the festivities! The dogs walked Michaela down the aisle, (although Penny the pug did get a bit distracted, luckily Ritchard, the manager and co-ordinator at Craidelonna, picked her up and helped her make it to the alter).

It was a morning ceremony, followed by super-yummy brunch, and then some all around smashing-good piñata bashing. And how great is the cake centrepiece with the two birds, one in a sombrero and one in a touque? I can't get enough of Craidelonna, and I can't get enough of how amazing and original this celebration was. Here is my photographic tribute to this one-of-a-kind wedding. And a toast to the warmth and joy I experienced at this wedding—a long, long life of it for Michaela and Jose. And their dogs.
