Kristy and James (Tofino Wedding Photography)
Kristy and James started on the path to their wedding day back in high-school in Ucluelet. Perhaps because Kristy and James are native to the climate or perhaps because they are simply awesome troupers, the show went on as planned right out there in the misty wet glory of the open beach. Though the umbrellas kept everyone fairly dry from the rain, nothing could keep the faces dry from the tears as this was a powerfully emotional ceremony that left even the officiant walking away dabbing her eyes. The rainforest lived up to it's name on July 5th as the drizzle and blowing mist, so iconic of Tofino and the north Pacific Coast, intensified as the day went on. Luckily Chesterman Beach and the Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino is a spectacular location for a wedding and consequently for wedding photography. Trails on the grounds of the Wick meander through the rainforest and lead out to the windswept rugged beach.Never have we worked with a bride and groom so content and willing in inclement conditions to traipse about for photographs. At times this may have looked like a 'Trash The Dress' shoot rather than wedding day portraits. Thank you, Kristy and James, for being so ready and willing to make great photographs with us. Here's to the loving chemistry between you that is so evident in these pictures.
