Sarah and Drew were married at Rebecca Spit on Quadra Island, followed by a reception at Tsa-Kwa-Luten. After a week of rain, the sun decided to clear the clouds and shine down for their wedding day — we loved the soft golden light on the orange and copper leaves celebrating the return of fall.Alex knew Sarah because she used to live on Cortes Island (which is where we currently live).  While on Cortes she clearly had made some friends— there were familiar faces in the wedding party, the guest list, and definitely in the band. It made us feel comfy and at home knowing so many people — and Sarah and Drew did a wonderful job of making everyone feel welcome and recognized.The wedding party was lovely, the ceremony was perfect and the rocking band got everyone dancing up a storm. The history and comradery between the guys was awesome to witness — Drew grew up on Quadra and his Groomsmen represented his childhood friends, all of them been there with him throughout his life. Sarah was also clearly loved and supported by her girls, and the playful hilarity ensuing on both sides was a pleasure to document.Thank you for welcoming us into your day as it unfolded, we loved every minute of it.
